I did not feel Eric was as easy to work with as Mar who I was working with at the same time planning the first part of the trip in Norway.

I found Eric’s 100% reliance on technology, specifically google maps, and not providing a backup - specifically names or addresses prohibited me from experiencing as much as I would have hoped.

At one point google maps completely failed - I was in my way to a planned and paid for experience car and it told me to do u-turn. It was unable to course correct and I missed the 5 hour glacier hike (I would like to discuss a refund for that please).

The few links I tried for the optional additional activities either did not work at all for me, or I were things I tried too late since I was too far away. Had his directions been more clear, such as where within the route the add one made sense, I could and would have seen and done far more.

When food options s are far away, it would have been appreciated if that could have been shared up front. One night we were left with no option for food other than a gas station. Finally at one location the itinerary said breakfast was included, but it made no sense to me so I sent a note asking - granted it was late. I received a response well after we had left and while food was supposed to be delivered for breakfast (makes no sense to me since food preferences were not asked) we had a long drive ahead and left before that happened (between 7:30 and 8 am).

Overall I enjoyed Iceland but know that I missed a lot that I did not have to miss. So I am disappointed but still enjoyed the trip

We just returned home from the most phenomenal adventure in Iceland, and cannot thank our specialist Eric enough for crafting such a jam-packed, memorable itinerary for our family! Eric took all our must see spots and built a trip that was not only logistically efficient, but also delivered all the highlights within the timeframe we had available. I have built many travel itineraries over the years and can confidently say, there is no way I could have come up with an equivalent experience on my own. The first hand knowledge and insight Eric shared, his prompt responses to all our questions as we approached our departure date, and the tours & accommodations he recommended and booked were perfect. With the countless travel blogs & social media groups online, attempting to build a personalized, self-guided itinerary is incredibly overwhelming & time consuming. The service Eric provided made this process both easy & enjoyable, and saved us so much time & stress. Having just experienced the highlights of Iceland, we can sincerely say, our itinerary delivered the most incredible, memorable experience for our family - there isn't a thing I'd change about the trip Eric built - so thank you Eric!!

Kayaking tour under Mount Kirkjufell

We loved the kayaking tour under Mount Kirkjufell. The scenery was stunning, and being on the water gave us a unique perspective of the iconic mountain. It felt intimate and less touristy, which we really appreciated.

Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon was an incredible experience. The geothermal waters were so relaxing, and the setting was just beautiful. The kids had a blast, and it was a great way to start our trip. It was a bit pricey, but totally worth it for the unique experience.

I am glad Eric advised my wife and I to circumnavigate Iceland on the ring road from west to east, i.e. clockwise, because that gave us for the most part the best side of the narrow roads when navigating fjords, etc. My wife and I had a wonderful time, despite some typically rough Icelandic weather and trouble with our rental car, which stopped starting around Lake Myvtan. But Eric and Blue Rental Car had someone local on site in fifteen minutes and the issue (low key fob battery) was resolved quickly and cost us only maybe an hour total.

Eric’s plan was excellent, not overloading the driving—we did a full ring road circumnavigation—on any day and giving us lots of options plus the certain stops we asked for. That said, the daily driving plans were perhaps too precise about where we had to stop on each destination, so that at times if we didn’t go to the end of a parking lot, for example, the plan would not recognize our arrival and keep sending us back to it instead of moving on to the next stop. But we did figure out how to delete stops and it was not a big problem.

I would add to other folks contemplating a visit that the Golden Circle was the most disappointing part of our tour. Way too touristy and crowded. If you must limit yourself to that, skip Kerid Crater and Geyser and spend your time in Thingvellir National Park and Gladafoss and the Secret Lagoon!

Our trip to Iceland was amazing! Eric planned some great adventures for my husband and I! There was a good balance between time to relax and time to go sightseeing. All of the suggestions of places to see and how to navigate the island were great!

The idea of planning a two week trip all around Iceland was extremely daunting but Eric made the process extremely easy. He provided us with a detailed trip plan that clearly mapped out each day with key places to visit - this was invaluable and took the burden off us. He assisted us in scheduling incredible adventures that made our trip to Iceland even more special and memorable, including river rafting, ATV tour, kayaking, glacier hike, and glacier ice cave tour. Everything was seamless and we were able to focus on enjoying the trip rather than the stress of planning and navigation. Some incredible highlights that will stay will us forever were our hikes in Thorsmork and to Glymer Falls, seeing a colony of hundreds of puffins up close, walking on glaciers, and simply enjoying the beauty of Iceland. Mountain ATV tour

A great introduction to riding an ATV. The weather was rainy and cold but they provided us appropriate gear to ensure we stayed warm and our clothes stayed dry. Unfortunately, visibility was limited that day but I'm sure the views of the capital city would have been amazing on a clear day.

The scenery was incredible and it was great having an Icelandic guide who could speak to growing up and living in Iceland. It was an easy kayak experience as we didn't go very far.

Our tour guide John was INCREDIBLE. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about glaciers and made the tour fun and interesting even though it was rainy and cold :-)

Eric did a great job in helping us plan our trip to Iceland. He presented us a very detailed plan and provided us a lot of information about each location he recommended for us to visit and also other locations as options.
He was always responsive to our needs and we had a few phone calls to discuss details about the trip.
We highly recommend Eric as an Iceland expert.

We had a wonderful trip to Iceland! Horse riding tour

Beautiful ride, but guide gave no instruction or information once we left the barn. She didn't check to see how we were doing, or give any information about the tölt or when we would be changing gaits. The guide was German, and did speak more to 2 German participants, but I have no idea what they talked about. I don't think there is a problem with this activity, just with the particular guide we had.
